Yesterday I went to the Pixar exhibit at the Milano Museum of Modern Art with a bunch of friends(most of which are native Spanish speakers so they were teaching me a little spanish). It was neat to see some of the storyboards from movies like Toy Story, cars, Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, etc. and there was an awesome zoetrope of toy story, which, for those of you who don’t know, is essentially an illusion produced by flashing images really fast. The one at the Pixar exhibit was a bunch of different figures placed in different positions around a circle and then the platform underneath them spun really fast and strobe lighting was used to make the whole thing come to life. It was really cool.
Then they also had this huge screen which played a 3D looking picture and it felt kind of like a planetarium show when the stars move really fast and you feel like you are moving. Then there were other various little videos and short films that they were playing throughout the exhibit and now I really want to become a Disney Imagineer and bring these awesome films to life lol. Anyways, I am going to put up some of the pictures in the Photos section so you can check those out when you get a chance. Anyways, I have to get studying and packing for my tour of Italy:)
